Abstract

This study examines the effect of reward system on employee performance in the University of Abuja, Nigeria. Data were collected from a survey of 200 staff members using a structured questionnaire. Results show that the reward system has a significant effect on employee performance, with those who received rewards performing better than those who did not. The study also revealed that rewards had a positive impact on job satisfaction and motivation levels. The results suggest that organizations should consider implementing reward systems to encourage and improve employee performance. By doing so, organizations can create an environment of motivation and recognition that can help to maximize performance productivity and foster a more productive work culture..
